Re: FREE TRACKDAY*
Mark, good to see you again and the YZF went well didnt it ?
duke not so goo mate, wear on cases means it will end up being 996 after all.
saw the spec hes building today, its going to be as follows
sandcast cases, close ratio box, SP cams and some light porting work.
bit concerned it was going to be a high powered lumpy handgrenade but assured it should be tame but "pull strong"

Ah well mate, should pull yer house over if its chained then.
dont suppose its any easier or cheaper to get a motor from a damaged bike, or is that the way forward. Hope it doesnt take too long for it although the way the weather is at the minute you know theres nothing gained.
God this love affair kicks you in the teeth sometimes eh!
cue Boris any minute........

Re: FREE TRACKDAY*
funnily enough cost wont be much to me, he wants a load of stuff doing from me so its the usual "i will take care of your bike, you take care of my sites, and advertising" setup.
my old engine internals are pretty good, gearbox is v good, its just the cases are tired and the primary drive and sprag clutch with a old tired starter motor have taken thier toll on the rest of the motor.
also has 4 slippers there so it will be getting a pukka 1098R slipper in it too.
so coupled with the 52mm full system and mapping it should make the healthy end of 120ish

Re: FREE TRACKDAY*
So who was actually their?
I got up and spent the day with Simon Ed Simmo SmallStevens and one of their mates, couple of other 4's their but didnt recognise them from the site.
had a great day, tracks awesome, shame I only got 2 sessions due to wether and on being able to run the dry tyres but had a great time in both sessions, dispite having a lowside saving it then almost highsiding as I went on the grass and getting stuck in the gravel, and second session having 2 big highside moments on a wet track with diablo supercorsa's on.
Bad luck Simmo and his mate (never did get his name) hope you can get everything fixed in time for your next meeting.
