As title really...
The OEM seat unit on the NC30 has a small bracket on the inside to screw the light unit to.
I've just had a seat unit made up, but it is in essence a race fairing with the required holes to fit the lights.
Any smart ideas on how to mount the lights? I'd like to avoid mounting via a bolt from the outside, but without fabricating the extra bracket myself, I'm at a loss..
Cheers in advance.

I cant picture how the light unit fixes to the seat unit but fiberglass some L shape brackets to the inside of the seat unit for the light unit to bolt to.

Re: mounting rear lights on a race seat
my lights are just mounted using the 2 bottom fixings. using button head bolts, they dont sit corretctly though, the bottm of the light sticks out further than the top........ its been like that for about a year now, and had no problems...

Halfords sell some complete fiberglass kits but theres quite a lot in the kit so unless you intend on doing some more fiberglass id just get some strong glue of some kind to fix the brackets, Aradite or plastex will do.
Brackets can be found in most DIY stores.

With you... a small plastic stand-off bracket?
What about integrity? Will this hold?
My concern with mounting from the outside of the fairing was that with vibration and shock, the bolt might put stress on the surrounding area... would a bolt glued to the underside present the same issue do you think????
Just fussing.... I'd be abs
if in 3 months i develop a crack at the back (pun intended)
Cheers y'all!

Re: mounting rear lights on a race seat
I spose the weight of the light unit may put stress on the mounting points if it was fixed to the faring, fiberglass and ally brackets would be my choice.
Another option would be to fix the light unit to the subframe with ally brackets, cant really be more specific as my NC doesnt have a rear light and to be honest i cant remember how it originally fixes. Ive just got a letterbox shape LED brakelight stuck to the back, not much use to you as you've already got the light cut outs.
