VFR Gear problems

Post by mjt-fzr-88 » Tue Jul 21, 2009 10:12 am

Hi,

My mate last night broke his NC30, it will run and go into gear under no power but when he tries with power the bike wont pull in any gear but the neutral lights on and the bike will run through the gear box (we think).

is there a common problem with the VFR's for this? if not any idea what the problem could be?

Thanks in advance :)

Can you get it in gear on a paddock stand (not running) and try to turn the motor over?

Could be as simple as loose gear linkage gubbins etc.

Start simple...

Thanks for the reply, he says that he put it in gear and rolled it backwards and forwards and it didn't lock up the rear wheel.
