cadwell trackday on restricted licence?
hey guys iv just booked 2 track evenings at cadwell 1 being a novice only night and the other PB's 90's bikes only event. GREAT i thought, carn't waight, untill i read the confirmation e-mail that says i have to have a FULL uk licence or a ACU licence! im currently still on my restricted(33bhp) licence however my bike being full power
surely they wont turn me away due to my this!?
so my question is, has anybody done or know of anybody that has done a trackday at cadwell with a resticted licence if so did you have any problems when signing in and showing your licence?

Same here, as I understand things it is a condition of MSV not the trackday organisers.geoff33 wrote:I know a couple of people that have been turned away on the day for having a restricted license.
That said you may want to risk it, last trackday they just glanced at the photocard part of our licenses, missing the fact my wifes license was in a different name to the one we booked under[1].

I will give them a ring tomorrow and see what they say,it wouldn't be so bad if they actualy gave refunds and not worthless credit.

The main thing might be insurance issues which is a bit of a bummer

Re: cadwell trackday on restricted licence?
I had this same problem mate
msv say they wont let you out on track with a restricted licence but Iv never seen an organiser check your licence, and I talked to a few organisers who didnt even know about resticted licences. I just got an ACU licence....and then started racing lol
the ACU will cost you about £120 tho for your first yea, £70 for each year after that so its only really worth it if your doing a few td's
tbh id go and bet they wont check ur licence, if they do uv still got a 'full licence' like they ask for on the site
Im doing an MSV trackday at oulton on the 29th, il let you know if they check my licence or not if you want

Re: cadwell trackday on restricted licence?
Cheers spike,I was looking for your advice as I knew you where a young lad like myself(19) from some of your previouse posts. I think geting my ACU licence is my only safe option to be honist as I still have 2 more years restricted anyway and will know dought be doing more than a few track days in that time.
I am also seriously considering raceing next year,I'm just trying to gather some info at the mo.which club do you race with mate?
Thanks for all the advice guys,Pete
