'factory' suspension setup NC35?
Picked up my new NC35 last week and since its been sat in storage for the last year and potentially neglected a little before that, I've spent some time working on it and will be ready to roll in the next couple of days, once I've fitted the replacement lower rad.
I've not ridden for about 10 years, and even then, didn't get a great deal of experience, so my question is simply, how do I set up the suspension, is there 'factory' settings for the front and rear or can anyone recommend settings for an almost 12 stone, 5'10'' bloke?
Thanks
Tom

On this website: http://akhara.com/nc30/nc30manuals/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; you should find the Manuals for the RVF400's. You should be able to find the recommended tolerances for the suspension in there somewhere, and also it should go into good detail on how to adjust and check these tolerances. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link, I've had a quick scan through but couldn't find anything. I'll read it properly tomorrow when I've more time and not knackered.
I'm in Northampton by the way.

I've not seen anything in the Honda manuals detailing how to adjust the suspension for your weight. Have a look at this link:
http://www.sportrider.com/suspension_se ... index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's pretty straightforward. By the way you don't need 2 friends to check the rider sag - I used my elbow to lean gently against a wall while in riding posture while my girlfriend took the measurements. If the bike has been sitting around for as long as you say seriously consider changing the fork oil and closely inspecting the seals now, before you get started.
