Carb hose connections

Post by cb400 » Mon Jul 13, 2009 2:04 am

I bought my NC30 with the carbs off, and I'm having a devil of a time figuring out where everything goes.

I have the fuel line, which is a single line from the tank to a "T" to both sides of the carbs, I have the two carb lines that "T" in the center of the carb sets, and connect to the secondary air cleaner on the air box.
I have 2 additional lines that end together and are wrapped together....do these connect or vent to air?

Are there any other lines connections I might have missed? And does anyone have a diagramme of the carb connections?

Thanks...

You're on the money mate, the main one is the fuel tank line which connects to the 't' on teh carbs. The 2 lines wrapped together just vent air, all good.

There's a thin vacuum line that runs from the small outlet on the fuel tank tap to the right rear cylinder inlet manifold, there should be a nipple for it there.

That's about it, you'll also need to hook up the idle screw and choke cable if they're not bolted to the carbs.

If you have immense trouble getting the carbs on because of crusty old shrunken carb rubbers, some new softer RVF carb rubbers will help hugely.

Thanks all, and more so for the manual link.

After I finish the headstock bearings and rebuilding the brakes, I'll refit the carbs and let you know how it goes...

Thanks again.
