just out of interest, is there weight saving with these?MarkV4 wrote:I've just got some ebc prolites, so far they have done around 1000 miles and so far so good. I was considering the tyga's but i'd never heard anything about them so decided to stick to the ebc's.
Can't use anything but standard discs for racing in Aus.

I have EBC prolites on the CBR mate and they are far better than standard IMO coupled with rebuilt calipers and decent pads that is.

Agreed, the prolites are heavier than OEM items...
But they do work well, feel much nicer than the slightly warped OEM's I had anyway lol

PFM or OE I would go for. Although I'm sure the tyga ones will be good but not had any experiance with them.

Re: what discs ..... opinions please
the stealth ones that cost £300 for a full set - front pair and a rear with pads are pretty good.
I have a set on my VFR although now I have fitted the Ducati front can't use the front discs. I never had any problems with them - they didn't warp or over heat, fitted straight on without hassle and the people who sell them - in the back of MCN were very helpful.
I used them on one track day on camp and a small amount of riding around the cornish twisties which they coped with without a glitch!
I would definately buy them again - and might do if they do a fitment for Duc 749's.
