Super Four performance air filter - part number

Hi all, just bought a performance pipercross filter MPX123, which according to there site is the correct part number but it does not fit. firstly its oval instead of round and little to long. So i'll be sending it back so have any of you lot got it fit or know of any other air filters with part numbers.

I've fitted a K&N filter. Fits perfect and you never have to change it again, just clean it every many-thousand miles

I bought an pipercross MPX123 which is what they said on their web site unfortunately its oval and 5mm longer than my original standard one.

I take it that the k&n air filter is round (HA-4020) and just replaces the standard one?

I even contacted pipercross direct and they say that the oval MPX123 is correct for a super four and they've sold loads of them in asia. Due to me buying it off ebay i cant get my money back due to it being as described. DOH!

Has anyone got an MPX123 and fitted it without any probs? Is my bike weird? Its an F2N model 1994.

Perhaps you have the filter for the Vtec model? If so, perhaps you could sell it on and get a K&N as per the earlier post? My old Version R has the K&N fitted, it's a direct replacement for the original.
