Water hose ...Help

Post by wasted » Thu Jun 25, 2009 7:59 pm

Hi all,

Just bought my first VFR NC30 on ebay. Cant wait to get out on it.
The Only problem is that it needs the hose that goes from the Water pump to the bottom radiator before I can pick it up. So I have got a set off ebay and I'm sure the guy has sent me hoses for a different bike as they look nothing like the service manual pictures and I dont have an NC30 to compare them to.

Also the place I got the bike from are expecting me turn up with the hose, put it on and ride away tomorrow. Nightnare!

Anyway, can anyone tell me the lenght and width/diameter of the hose that goes from the water pump to the bottom radiator. Hopefully one of the hoses I have been sent will be near enough so I can at least pick it up rather than wait for the clown to send me the right hoses.

Any help, really appreciated.

Heres the bike BTW, The colour will be the first thing to change ;¬)

I cant check the hose right now, but I have a standard one that will do as a stop gap if needed. Whereabouts are you based?

That is what the pipe should look like - it is a shoddy shop service that tried to sell a bike to you that does not even work..

Yep thats the one I need. I knew the bike needed the hose when I agreed to buy it, Thought I got a good price partly due to that.

The let down is that the guy I got the hoses off sent the wrong ones. They have given me a full refund and let me keep the wrong ones they have sent but not sure if they are any use to me.

Is that your bike? I'd be very greatful if you could measure the hose and let me know the diameter of the hose or the diameter on the pipe on the pump/Radiator. Then I'd know if one of the hoses I have will fit it.

Cheers

I got the whole set off ebay for £15. but they sent the wrong ones.

I dont think you understand ... I can easily afford to buy a set of hoses, even silicon ones for £100 a set if need be. But I wanted to pick the bike up tomorrow and all I have now is the wrong set I was sent.

What I need to know is the size of the diameter of the hose so I can tell if the ones I have will just get me home tomorrow. If you have the hoses could you please give me the measurement...

Pretty please

The inside dia of the hose is 25mm,and the length will need to be min 300mm in a strait line.
