iv just replaced the whole clutch as it was slipping and with the hope of it being the cure, but no, it still jumps out.
all other gears are fine, go in and out withoug any problems and stay in.

could it be somthing to do with the rod that goes from the selector pedal?

If it is the favourite you shouldnt ride it any more till repared. The double slide gears are prone to breaking the ends off the engaging dogs it will definatly not get better and some of the broken ends can be the right size to get into some undesirable places.
A few things to check first are the padels in the input side are operating corectly and freely (obviously make sure the linkages etc all operate freely first) and returning these can somtimes jam agianst the plates, also check for any damage around the star on the selector drum. If all is well there you may have trouble and it will be the problem as above with damaged dogs on the gears, this is a motor out and strip down.

I have a little way of getting the crankcases in half without having to remove the heads, its a easy enough job and can be done in a day,
i have many gearboxes if your stuck

i heard iv gota get the engine out and put it upside down and take the sump and bottom of the engine casing off, then its in there somwhere.

i dont know weather or not to buy a new engine or have the engine out for a bit.
i was told replacement gear box parts will be verry expencive.

I could rebuild your gearbox using good seconds and all put back together.

Hi Chris,
You asked if it was 2nd... mine is. guess got something to do with the gear cogs or drum forks. when the engine starts pulling on 2nd(8000-10000k) the gear disengages and engages immediately after... any advice?
Its a 30 engine with 35 gears.
Cheers
