Re: NC30 ground clearance
why dont you just drill your nc30 dog bone linkage????
then all you have to do is swap the position on the linkage for what wheel your on.
untill you save up enough money for another rvf rear wheel........
o and its not the fact your not hangin off enough, its just the lack of height on the rear. i hardly hang off my zxr

Re: NC30 ground clearance
I use the RVF linkage, an RS250 shock and the 18 inch wheel on my bike and it is jacked like a New York Mugger..
I measured the distance between the lip of the rim up the the front edge of the socket and to the subframe to be approx 66cm, or 27 inches.
I'll try to get a helpful piccie up for you.
looking at your bike, Spike, you can see it is a low riding pimp machine. Also, the right hand bung looks lower than the left - what is it bolted to? the lower engine mount?
If you want a spare NC30 link to drill then bung me a fiver for postage and I'll send one down. you can mess about with that and get it sorted out.
I also think I hang off muych mroe than I do..I aint no Toni Elias... I haev a Doohan stylee effect (apart from the devastating speed) and have had the bolts holding my exhaust clamp down and ground the heads off them..so I also lean over too much..
Had to take my stand off at Rockingham last year as it was scraping all the time and that was with the bike jacked up over 50mm compared to yours...

Re: NC30 ground clearance
its not really low its the rvf front fairing that makes it look it, the front is alot lower than standard nc30 and the mudguard actually hit the fairing under not much braking so had to cut it a bit
il take u up on that mark pm me ur email and il send u some beer tokens lol
also thats a good idea simmo, could try and make the bolt quick release somehow, gona get the rvf triangle thing tho as its roller bearinged so should make for smoother action (like u told me before lol)
yeh I left the sidestand mount off just took the stand out, big mistake, that thing was decking out so easy and really reduced the amount I could attack a left corner
thats my excuse anyway lol

Re: NC30 ground clearance
Hi, im wanting to know more about raising the rear end of my NC30 project. the bike has a 17" rear wheel, I am sure the linkages are originals! I have just fitted a HAGON shocker (tilts close to front of swinging arm) bought from jap4performance.. told its set for my weight, 10st!
Ive heard about the rvf dog bone (shorter) but ive not heard or read about the Triangle or drilling my existig dog bone. I HAVE NOT YET RODE THE BIKE
So i cant talk about the handling.
I just want it to perform the best it can and look a little higher at the back..
SO WHAT DO I NEED TO DO NEXT!!!!
