RVF sees off ZZ-R 600 :)

Well, I did as planned this morning, up at 7, round me bros, mug o tea and got bikes out.

Got to MOT station for 8:15am and waited for em to open.

The run there was steady as the bike was cold still, anyway bros bike went in for mot and...

It passed with flying colours

On the way back we had a right good race

Comin up this long road, over the crest then down a really steep hill, hard on the brakes and I put me foot
out like Rossi does to see what it looks like felt ok actually but there wasn't
really any benefit in what I was doing, maybe it only helps while on the limit on the track ?
still it looked rate good

Anyway we bangs a tight tight right and the road goes up steep then drops off then up a hill.

I took me time as there was a blue parked car and I wanted to see how the RVF would hold its own
with the ZZ-R in stright line acceleration

I checked me mirrors he was right with me so I gunned it, 2nd gear limiter, 3rd gear limiter, 4th gear, wooossshh
there was lots of wind and me head was being bufferted around, I checks me right mirror hes not there
so I knew he would be in me left mirror, but while I was doin that I got a bit close to the ballard in the
centre of the road

Once past that I checks me mirror and sure thing he's there about 3 bike lengths back ..

When we got back we spoke about it, he asked me if I were flat out and I said pretty much, yeah, and he said
well I couldn't pull you in I am well pleased I managed to see off me bro on his ZZ-R 600

He has got a Factory Pro jet kit waiting to go in and an ignition advancer which says + 1.5bhp increase so
I do not know if I will still be the victor when hes done them mods ?

Cracking run, totally buzzin, RVF felt planted and I loved the V4 torque, getting well used to it now

When speakin to me bro about it we learned that when the RVF is being ridden to its max then he wont be
able to stay with it, he cannot brake as late or get on the gas as early ... however ...

When I throttle off even just a bit my speed plummets and I have to come down a gear, thats when
the ZZ-R will whip past me, so its all or nothing on the RVF, take no prisioners and it should be competitive.

Tis great that you're getting on well the RVF, but it sounds like you need to calm down a bit!
Get yourself and the RVF on a track and you'll love it even more!!!
