It is the correct battery indeed, and will work fine.... but for how long??? It is a cheaper battery available for the general trade market normally, but there is no reason why it shouldnt last a year or two depending on how well its looked after. i.e by using an optimate or similar.

It all depends if you want to have the better battery from the likes of Yuasa etc, or you are prepared to settle for second best. its like reg/rec in a way. Do you go Honda OEm or Pattern Part?? Either really, they will both do the job.

I would go for a YTX9 type battery - about 15mm taller but fits in the tray and as it is bigger you are rocking...

I bought mine from wemoto and it has been OK..

Hey Jono,

Basically the YTX7 battery is a smaller and less powerful battery. As the NC30s are renowned for charging issues and killing batteries and reg/recs I would go for a larger, more powerful battery.

Rocking is always better than jiving, bopping and grooving...don't you think \m/ 8-) ;)

You reckon the ytx 9 bs will deffo suit the nc30 then ?? just that had an email back from the above seller who says its the ytx7bs thats listed as being suitable for the nc30, no harm in fitting the bigger battery you reckon ??

Yep - I have 4 batteries for my NC30s. 2 x YTX9s a YTX7 and a YTX3 for the race bike...

The YTX9 is 15mm taller than the YTX7 and that is it...
