I need your help, plz

Post by mruehl34 »

I order the fuel bodies by jenvey in the uk.

http://www.jenvey.co.uk/

The bodie were made and now Simon ask me: The only problem they have is the 2 banks have a cable and spindle
extender that attach them. For some reason their new designer can´t find the cylinder offset for my engine. He wants that i measure it so they can machine the spindle extender for me.

I told Simon that the V4 has 90°. I don´t know if he mean that with the offset.

Second i want to fit the bodies like thorsten durbahns one the same linkage.
Here you can find some pics:

The underside, you can see the mechanism connecting front and rear, injection valves! (Thorsten Durbahn)

Now my question: Can someone take an engine to jenvey that they can built or fit the bodies.

Thanks

Michael, the offset is the amount the intake centerline is spaced between the front and rear cylinders.

Take your measurements and put on the picture I attached and send that to jenvey..

Hi i mean an engine from a rvf/vfr 400. :worthy: It would be great when you can speak with simon from Jenvey so he can fit the bodies on an engine and he would see all parts.
Can you contact him?

This is the same problem we had. We haven't yet completed the linkage for ours either. The cables is what they sent us as well. They will work, but if you get something different, please let me know.

I figured the drawing I sent you would have done the trick. I do not understand why they can't figure it out from that. If you need more drawings or dimensions, please let me know.

Well, if jenvey are to make the entire linkage, then I guess they need more than just offset. intake angel and lenght in relation to cylinder centerline, so they have a 3D understanding of where to place the trottlebodies.

Well, just thinking out loud

Thank you Mike for your offer. I must wait, when the bodies arrive i can tell you more. I think Thorsten has the best solution for that problem.
On your pic Mike where you fit the bodies the fuel rails are very high so my tank would not fit.
The fuel rail in the middle is better. I must wait.
