stub axles / hubs

Post by dunkenb »

are the hubs/ stub axles on the nc24 and nc30 the same or a least only slightly different?
i ask as i want to put an nc30 wheel onto an nc24 swing arm and thought swapping the stub axles over would be the easy way to do it?
cheers guys

There isn't a lot of difference at all.

I think you might be able to just put the axle through a 24 hub as the NC30 uses the same bearings as the NC24.

The carrier itself is different as it's held in by 1 bolt on the 30 and two bolts on the NC24.

ah, that's good to know! i thought they looked very similar but i've only seen photo's of the nc30?
is it worth sticking with the nc24 sprocket carrier as it has the cush drive or is th nc30 one better as it's lighter?
right guess i'll have to look for an nc30 stub axle now, don't suppose anyone has one knocking about they'd like to swap for a curly wurly and a packet of hubba bubba?????
