that looks seriously nice . can't wait to see it painted up. seen a few nsr's on okshon with fire blade body work, seems a very popular upgrade in japan at the moment and cheaper than the similar stuff from tyga performance.

whether it is cheaper or not i havent worked it out and like most projects i proberly dont want to! i would guess the panels are going to be slightly cheaper as i am trying to use second hand parts to keep costs down but it then means a lot more prep time is required.

i am looking at different paint schemes at the mo, i love hm plant honda's but they are too dark to show that this bike is something different. so i am maybe thinking a 2006 movistar rep paint job. nice and bright and shows off the lines of the bike nicely. but if anyone else has any other thoughts let me know! the only colour i want to avoid is white as my fireblade is a konica minolta rep.

That looks unreal i think ill trawl ebay for 600RR fairings now :-)
How did the whole clock/front fit?
Need a large spacer?

i will post some pictures of the bracket to show how it looks, it again was just a basic first attempt but in fact it actually works very well and seems strong enough as is so i may just weld & paint it as is. no real spacer required to fit, i have used most of the head light mounting bracket for this as it is about the right distance away for the rr fairing. once i take the top fairing off for more work i will photo the whole bracket.

i dont think i can use the tank cover due to the size, the frame i think is quite a bit wider than the vfr but once it is all painted i dont think you would really notice, i have had the infils that go from the tank to front of the top fairing arrive today so these will need cutting to fit as they are a bit big as present.

i am planning on an attack with the front end on sunday. new steering head bearings / fork seals etc so i should have a few more photos on by then.

ok basically nothing done today, had a bbq last night with my home brewed cider. was in no fit state to day anything today! good job i had the day off, i did have in the post though a screen, wing mirrors & the infil panels that go from the tank to the top fairing. So i decided to see how they fit, the mirrors and screen are great i have got rid of the bunny ears after trying my blades mirrors and the screen helps make the front end look like a real bike. the infil panels will require a lot of trimming to fit properly as the 600rr is a lot wider than the vfr so they foul on the forks at present.

should have a front fender here tomorrow in time for me to strip and rebuild the forks. sp1 caliper brackets on their way from rick any day now. so here is the pictures of today 'progress' apologises as it is pissing down out side and i did not have the energy to move things out of the way.

not a huge change since yesterday but a huge thank you to rick o' the caliper brackets arrived today and i had to get them on just to see how the calipers will look when fitted....crackin piece of kit.

will try to get some more done tomorrow night..

Coming along nicely and after seeing your project i have just got a 600rr rear seat unit off ebay .....do you have any pics of the modded subframe by any chance?

not with out the tail section on, i have been chatting with sabre and emailed him a picture of how much i had to chop off the subframe. you will need to seperate the upper 'arms' of the subframe from the lower remove what you see in the picture link below, get the upper arms of the subframe in the right position to accomodate 600rr tail, then bring the lower arms up into postion then weld back together. if you look closely at the second picture you can just see how it looked before i welded it.
