Nc30 problem
Hi all, i have been out on my bike today and it's started to cough and splutter, a bit like it was running out of petrol but wasn't. It will splutter all throgh the revs 5k and above, it's generally a pain coz i don't know what it coul be sometimes during the day it was fin and then suddenly it would go all horrible.
I've recently fitted a new standard system with a blue flame can with standard jetting (as far as i know) but it was fine for a few days so i'm finding it hard to believe this is my problem. I'ts really annoying, if anyone could give me some advice it would be greatly appreciated, i hate my bike not running right
please help lol!
Cheers.

Re: Nc30 problem
i can only suggest checking all hoses etc, sounds a bit like a vacuum leak...........im with you on the it was fine for a few days before running bad so i also dont think its anything to do with different system.
please,god,....give me the chance to prove that winning the lottery won't spoil me!!!

Re: Nc30 problem
Have you checked the vacuum hose is still attached? Might be kinking under heat and starving the bike and then when cold it is fine??

Thanks for the reply mate, i will check all the hoses tomorrow. I don't have a vacum in my tap if that's what you meen or am i being dumb lol! My mate said maybe the air filters blocked up so i will check that tomorrow and i have checked the battery terminals as this was the cause of his problem not so long ago. I hope i find the cause quickly as i will not be best pleased lol!

Re: Nc30 problem
My vacum hose is bunged up coz i've got the fuel tap mod on my bike, i'ts the only way it will run. So i'm not using the vacum hose.

Re: Nc30 problem
Yeh it will rev all the way up but it takes a while coz its just spluttering it's way up there. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet but i can't wait to get it sorted coz i can't ride it like this.
Thanks for the reply's people, i'll let you know any progress that i've made.

Re: Nc30 problem
I've had a look at it and under the airbox is a puddle of oil which i guess shouldn't be there. I also took one of the plugs out and it didn't look to bad. i haven't really got a clue what i'm looking for so i think i'm going to have to take it to a garage or something.

Re: Nc30 problem
I would suggest checking the plugs & leads.
Check the coil packs.
Does it back-fire now & again as it is spluttering along?

Re: Nc30 problem
Sounds like a typical reg/rec or other charging problem.
Get a multimeter onto the battery and check the voltage at 8k rpm, it should be about 13.2-13.8 volts, any higher or lower and it's shagged.
