alternative rear shock on the rvf?

Post by blanc » Thu May 21, 2009 11:06 pm

hI

bEEN THINKING, FOR THE RAOD, I PRESUME SOMETHING LIKE A NEW CBR/GSXR CURRENT 600 SHOCK ETC WOULD BE MUCH BETTER THAN A 14 YEAR OLD RVF SHOCK. dO ANY FIT? I HAVE SEEN THE RS250 SHOCK, BUT NOT GOOD WITHOUT A REVALVE.

LET ME KNOW AS LOOKING TO UPGRADE MINE WITHOUT HAVING TO SPEND ON A NITRON/MAXTON ETC

A mate of mine has a Maxton shock for a CBR1000 the old model they go straight on the RVF/VFR with no mods I had one on my old race bike he did want £200 but im sure £150 would get it, it is like new I would be surprised if its ever been on a bike, if your interested let me know and i will pass on his number

Not sure about a Blade shock but I know this one would fit.

Thanks Steve

Bought and paid for, hopefully will arrive this week. I hope it really does just bolt on. I presume it raises the rear?

cbr 1000 is a much heavier bike than a rvf so it'll be a god idea to revalve and re spring it

I had one on mine I tried it as it was and it was very good the CBR is softly sprung so with the lighter wieght of the rvf its not that far off to start with if you want something a bit firmer
