It can be done as far as I know.

Most people sack it and either get the dollar together for a new/secondhand aftermarket shock rather than get a rebuilt o/e one.

you can check motoX places too - they'll do rebuilds too.

Hi Pete,

It indeed is possible check my thread as I've had it done myself all re-gassed, sealed and cleaned up http://www.400greybike.info/newforum/vi ... a&start=40" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

The place I sent it to is here http://www.moto-pro.co.uk/shockreb.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; my contact was Ross Morgan if you get in touch he might give you a discount too.

My reason behind having this done was (a) maxton shocks (or similar) are expensive, (b) I only need it for the road and (c) I weigh about 10st so practically match a Jap rider hence the standard shock is spot on.

where you happy with the finnished product?

Im in the same boat as you mate all these updated shocks are abit to pricey for me at the moment and i only weight 11st myself so it doesnt need to be a mega thing.

thanks again for your help m8. :grin:
