Michael, will do, but it will be a couple of days since the bike is in storage as my garage has been flooded (central heater system in house is leaking,...badly).

But it's more or less the same setup as yours, only the one rosejoint I have replaced with a 5mm thick steel plate welded to a 80mm M10 8.8 bolt, of course on each side. The spacer in the middle in from Rick Oliver, but modified to fit this setup which was just cutting it to one small and one big spacer (sorry can't remember the measurements).

This drawing should give you an idea of what I did

By the way, can you get me an extra set of alloy nuts for the axle, they are subject to a lot of torque. I'm running a RVF wheel on it.

This a better view of the linkage tie rod, just a plate welded to a rose joint, but the spacer in between is critical to get right.

New home for most of the electrics, battery, ignition, fuse and starter relay is going to be here on the right side of the engine. Having a LiFe battery really helps or it would nigh on impossible. The entire loom is being redone from new cable, new connectors (waterproof) and new things like fusebox and starter relay.

This little thing of beauty is along with stack instrument, GSXR generator, carbon front subframe and one of Rick's upper rads going to be installed in the next months (but to be fair, the ISR caliper is last on the list, as its actually a winter project for 09/10). Other than that, engine casings will be glassbead blasted and repainted, bolts will replaced with alloy ones and a few more brackets will be redesigned and made from lighter materials (alloy or carbon).

Gavin, will it be for that caliper or radial one. And will it by a complete hanger or "just" a bracket that you bolt to the original honda one?? Sound good that you are doing this, please keep us updated and post spec, weight loss etc..

It will be for the little radial caliper and will be a complete hanger I will do a little upgrade pack of the caliper, bracket and braided line

i do doubt thats going to happen, the bike hasn't been out this year and probably won't the rest of the year and i have bought anything for it since '07,the other bikes are taking over.

i really do love that rear brake set up but, are there plans to do a kit for the VFR michael ?

The one pictured is Durbahns for the duc 1098/848, but your point is right, there is a difference between 30 and 35 brake hangers. My view is that the 30 one would be the easist to produce, then you can adapt it to a 35 with a slightly different torque arm.

And it would be Gavin of jap4, that you should pester to make it...(which he is and if I remember correctly at a very fair price)

A little update,

A few pictures of my carbonfibre front subframe combined upper/lower stay) and battery/starter relay bracket. The front subframe (220g including light bracket not pictured) is 80gr lighter than one of Rick's alloy upper stays and the battery bracket is only 95g.
I wanted to put the electrics on the right side but space was better where the waterpump used to be, so battery and starter relay is going there.

finish is still a bit rough, final trim and spraying will see to that..
