pre air filter
Hi, I've done a search on here and on google but no joy. The pre air filter on my 1989 nc30 is missing, Does anyone know either the part number, where I could get one or if I could use something from say a vacuum spares shop. Cheers.

Re: pre air filter
What do you mean by pre air filter?
The NC has a large filter under the airbox. It also has a small filter which is the "sub air cleaner" - this the one you want?

Yo Gaz, you can use any type of filter that fits.

Re: pre air filter
Strictly speaking it`s not an emissions thing - what the little sub filter does is to remove the dust & crap from the air which is drawn in under the carb diaphragms as they rise. If you`d ever seen the scoring on the slides of carbs which have been run with the filter missing you`d appreciate why it`s there.

Re: pre air filter
Yes it's the sub air filter I mean, the one that stops larger crap getting to the main air filter. £1.50 seems good, do you have a site address to buy from as I need a main air filter, oil filter head bearings etc. Thanks Gaz.
