VFR Newbie needs Help

Post by XL-Twin »

Hello,
i am from Germany and i own a VFR 400 NC24 for a week now.
It's my first Honda V4 bike and there are only a few here in Germany .

It's not in best condition an i want to restore it and do some conversions.

Is it possible to use a NC30 Swingarm in the NC24 Frame ?!
What do i have to change or modify to use the swingarm with a 17'' wheel from a RVF !?

I also want to use a better fork like the NC30 fork !
Is it fully adjustable and do it fit to the NC24 frame without changes if i use the complete front ?!

I hope you can all understand my cause my english is not very good.

Hi and welcome to the joys of nc24 ownership,

not alot of parts are interchangable between the nc30 and the nc24 as i have found out, as for swingarms and forks these are not straight swap but with modification anything is possible.

You really are best off trying to get the best out of what you have.

Vielen Dank

Bist du Deutsch ?

I am sure to take the NC30 swingarm.
But i would not take the NC30 foks they are as expensiver here in Germany as a 06 gsxr fork for example....
And thats not less or more difficult....

I just saw that it is possible to upgrade the front wheel to 17'' by using a cbr 400 rr rim.
It's a stright swap....an you can take 110/120 tyre
