A tale of 2 NC30 carb sets ...

Post by GF Racing »

Step 1 - take order for a set of std NC30 carbs.
Step 2 - pick from stock - strip down to check prior to dispatch.
Step 3 - find carbs have rather trick internals
Step 4 - call Ric to find I have a set of F3 kitted carbs - SOLD DON'T ASK !!
Step 5 - start again - this time carbs are all standard.

Many thanks to Ric for identifying the rocking horse ... parts.

Cant believe I had them in my carb stores box for 2 years.

Must admit I was a little surprised - had it been CBR4 kit I could have identified it - fancy cut away slides - needle codes I have never seen before - ditto damper springs.

In fact my youngest son ran into the workshop - grabbed a couple of quid and ran out into the street as the Ice Cream Van had arrived - I didn't even follow ... as I was in conversation with Ric at the time.

I did then treat myself to a 99.

Never stop learning in this game ....
