NC30 Indicator question/problem

Post by aer0 » Sun Apr 12, 2009 7:41 am

Hey all,

im pretty good when it comes to bikes normally but electrical problems always have me stumped.

anyways... when i put my turn signals on they take a good 1-2 seconds before they start sometimes a little more.

if im switching from left to right or right to left its instant but if going from the off position to turning it just seems to take forever.
im probably going to fail my next WOF because of this (WOF in New Zealand is the same as your MOT)

ive only just got the bike and its been like this since i got it.

any suggestions on what i can check?

Other than that im loving my NC30, just upgraded from a MC19 CBR250

Cheers all
Sam

Hey mate that's a pretty common problem on these bikes, it's usually because grease and other muck in the switchgear doesn't allow any contact.

Pull it completely apart and giveevery part a good clean using electrical contact cleaner or wd40 etc, it's always worked a treat on mine.

+1 on what stickshift says..........

i had this similar problem last year with the nc30 and a bit of wd40 solved the problem.
