My NC29 Airbox is melting!
ive whipped my tank up and my airbox has started to melt right above the inlet ports to the carbs. it looks like number 4 is okay but the others have started to melt the airbox, there is something realy wrong going on here. there is a flat spot at about 5-7000 rpm or there abouts, now a freind was telling me about bandy engine having flatspots, and about positive and negative pulse. could the crabs be spitting back in the flat spot or the over run?

Re: My NC29 Airbox is melting!
i think my air filter is ok, it didnt look burnt i dont think, but to look from the inside where it is melted, if i look around the perimiter of the bit that is melted, it looks like a spattering effect, it hasnt bubbled up like plastic does, its more of a spattering effect, then obviously realy melted in the middle of the effected area.

Re: My NC29 Airbox is melting!
someone has suggested to me severe overfueling. i had a listen to it today and its making a 'muffling' sound on the over run, if it was blowing back, what would it sound like. and watch normal mpg do u get? im gettin about 50-60 miles to 10 litres of fuel.
