KENSO\BAKUDAN jet kit for NC29

Post by PARUS »

Guys,

Need you help. I have bought KENSO\BAKUDAN jet kit for CBR400RR-L NC29. It has adjustable needles and set of main jets (123, 125 and 130). Here is the picture below

I have spoken with Graeme and he said that BAKUDAN KIT not work properly, but anyway I'll try to fit and check. Greggo advice me to start smack in the centre for needles and 123 main jet - because I run just with air filter and TYGA exhaust. If I will set up K&N air filter and extend air flow I will be able set up 125 main jet. Correct?

Carb jetting is new for me, so first problem I have faced removing standard needles. How it can be done, because I don't like to damage diaphragm ?

Kit fitted, but I have question about main jet size. The smallest main jet is 123, but original is 108. Is this not so big range from 108 to 123 ? I suggest that due to needle type that correct, but maybe somebody experienced with this ?

What i know is that with a complet race system, K&N filter and dynojet kit from Ruud Frederiks (Netherlands) i have 116 mainjets. But everybike is different, so start with the smallest.

I have TYGA maggot. Going to fit K&N air filter.

I think due to another type of needles (blunt end) they use so big main jet, but not sure really. Are you using standard needles ?

Forget what size it says on them, the Kenso jets are different to everything else out there (they have 3 holes). Comparing them to other sorts of jets might be difficult.

Start with the largest (richest) jets they supply in the kit and go from there.

Are you sure start from richest will be correct? I had started from smallest - 123 mail jet.
