HID Kit on RVF?

Post by Jokeshopbeard »

Alright Guys,

Been doing a lot of night driving recently, and have discovered that the headlights on my RVF are shit when driving down unlit country roads. Mate of mine has a HID kit on his Aprilia and its excellent, so was thinking to do the same on the RVF - or some other upgrade that will increase the performance of my headlights.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so what bulb type is required? If not, are there any other ways of increasing headlight performance?

Cheers

Hi, I did a conversion on my other half's NC24, it's top notch :D . I did it more to get noticed when filtering as I've had to use the 24 on my commute. Used it through the winter and I can say it's massively improved the light output, mind you that's not too hard on an NC24. I will be upgrading my RC36 soon too.

Bought it off ebay, it was on an NTV listing but it's a standard H4 fitment. Same bulb powers both dipped and main beams but postion is altered by a servo. I'll see if I can find you a link ;)

S'okay JSB.

Sorry can't help with the lighting on the 35's never worked on one. For the 24 though it was a straight forward swap, be aware that the HID hi/low servo projects back a good 75mm further than the standard bulb holder, wasn't a problem for me, but if space is tight....

Good luck with it ;)
