Head Gaskets?

Post by christ044 » Tue Mar 31, 2009 10:10 pm

I think the head gaskets have gone on my NC24, these are no longer avalible.

Just wondering if anyone had tried to fit the NC30 ones, or had a good picture of one so i could try to find out the differences.

It does sound like it could be the headgasket. But if its been standing the oil tends to accumulator condensation and go creamy'ish anyway.

I'd compression test it first see if any of the cylinders are leaking.

Then i'd flush and replace the oil and filter if the compressions ok and see if it happens again.

Thanks Neo, it is fresh oil, put in about 2 days before it ran.

But its got to be worth testing, now to try and find my compression tester!

Hunter there is nothing in the post about nc30 head gaskets at all.

Like i say i know they are not the same part number but im just wondering what the difference is, just thinking if there is one hole difference or something in the wrong place it might be possible to fit them.
