really? iv seen bikes lowside at 70 with less damage!

infact my mate just had an accident on the 272, bad one, he hit his head so hard he cant remember what ahppened half hour before the crash woke up in an ambulance and it did less damage to his bike

mind locking the brake is violent crash, did it on my 50 and it smashed all the fairings

so much for all those race parts that are ment to crash better that originals

Seeing as I have to replace the left side 'generator' cover - I have invested in one of G Force Engine Developments GSXR stator/rotor kits :D :D
This should make the bike more fun too once its back together.

I have also been spending on a few other bits

Trak-tech lever bought from busters with the discount code in MCN (£5 off)
New Alloy bars off t'inters
New grips - 699 Progrips - had them before and like the feel of them.
and some replacement lowers off of Ebay -genuine panels which need minor repairs apparently - probably less than mine require anyway.
Speaking to te guy who I got them from (Matt B.) he has had a pretty bad accident on his NC30 a head on apparently 20 odd mph and has had skin grafts, pins in legs and is off his feet for 7 months they recon - Hope he gets well soon.

:scare:

Aww no, that's some nasty road rash there man. That can't be good, hopefully you heal up quickly. At least you didn't break any bones.

As for the bike, that's a real shame. It looks like you've put a lot of work into that thing. You can always rebuild it though, good luck!

That is terrible luck mate!! Easily one of the best looking bikes i've seen, not that that makes you feel any better atm. Hope you heal up quickly!!

I know its been said but that really does seem a load of damage for such a low speed crash. Must just be what happens when the front goes as opposed to the back. I lowsided at 110mph about a month ago (on a track thank god) The only damage was a smashed nosecone/rearset/and a scuffed lower. Everything else untouched!!
Except my pride  and my lovely new helmet and leathers :( worth every damn penny! I regret ever going out in jeans now! Won't do it again, and i can imagine you won't either!!

Nop I definately won't be riding without leathers or some sort of protective kit on EVER again!

I went to casualty on Sunday as my thumb and elbow were in agony - i was x-rayed, and nothing is broken. They redressed my wounds and now they aren't looking too bad - see below (1 week on from Accident)

My knee is still bandaged up but thats cos its all goopy and a bit minging!

I have also received some of the bits I have been ordering

these clipons came the other day and are soo light - the plastic bung in the end is the heaviest part!!

and these turned up today

I have a generator casing and clutch bracket to pick up from a mate when I next head to Cornwall and just waiting for other bits to turn up.

Its not really rust / well just a little surface stuff - you can't even see it most of the pictures.

I'll probably spend half hour with the front end on a paddock stand spinning the wheel by hand and applying a little bit of brake lever pressure. That should clean it up.

I'm an armourer just up at RAF Odiham - will probably see you at the Alton Cafe in the summer (wednesday nights are quite busy there) I work with some REME armourers too.

To put pics on the site - up load them to http://www.photobucket.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; (free)
Then use the image code [IMG] to copy and paste into your topics/replys.

Make sure they aren't too big tho! (640x640 will be ok)

Cheers
