Is 6ft too tall for an NC30?
I'm taking my direct access test next weekend and have set my heart on an NC30 as my first bike. My only concern is that at 6ft tall i may find the bike too small and cramped.
Is this likely to be the case? I only have a 10 minute commute to work and i'll be unlikely to ride for longer than an hour at a time. Please tell me i'll be ok!

i think it all boils down to personal preferance and whether you suffer from sore backs or anything similar...
im roughly 5.10-5.11 and i find it absolutely fine,i honestly love the position you are put in with riding sportsbikes and dont mind it one bit whether im riding for 20mins to work or going for a good run on my days off.i do suffer from sore backs on occassion which is from playing golf many moons ago and tbh riding the bike doesnt make it any worse.......ive probably jinxed myself now lol!!!!!!!

please,god,....give me the chance to prove that winning the lottery won't spoil me!!!

You will find the NC30 small, I find it small and I'm only 5' 8"!
That said you should have no problem actually riding, a friend of mine (6' 2") had an NC30 for a while as a track bike and was fine to ride it but in the end he sold it partly[1] because of the size.
It's not a bike for going long motorway distances on, especially if you're tall.

another 5'10 person and i find i have plenty of room to move about. quite comfy in fact. only complaint i ever had about bike, is i tend to crush me nads on unexpected heavy breaking, but thats a sportsbike thing anyhows

Thanks for the replies.
I think i'll just get one regardless and see how i get on with it. Hopefully it'll be the ideal bike to gain confidence and experience, and if it proves to be uncomfortable i can always move up to a 600.

I'm a genuine 6'1", and own an nc30, my bike is now heavily modified but when it was standard the bike was comfortable for its size, I found having the rear shock lengthened by 10mm improved things not only in the comfort stakes but also in handling terms too. It very much depends on person to person and on your proportions (I've got relatively shortlegs and a long body)
Need any used Nc30 parts? Want to fit a Ducati front end to your Nc30? If so give me a shout.

another 5-10 here and the '30/'35s are fine ,yes at first you find it a bit tight but after a few miles you settle in and find somewhere thats comfy on it.
did 1000 miles on one last sept and the only things i had sore where my knees( from the leathers cutting into me cause the lining is coming out of it) and my arse because the seat foam is a little thin .....

It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

Re: Is 6ft too tall for an NC30?
I'm exactly 6ft when I last measured myself. The only trouble I have is long legs and shorter body, which ends up with me being unable to move my legs properly after a long motorway trip (cramps, seizing of joints etc,) but you have to remember that is long periods of staying in almost the same position. I find that if I seek out a twisty a road route instead of motorway work I am fine (especially if you bring your knee out coming into corners) plus that way you get to your destination with a big grin on your face from the fun ride. The only other problem I have is constantly sliding forward in the seat to a nutcrushing position no matter how many times I move myself back, but I dont really notice it on twisty roads. Hope this helps somewhat.
