Wtd NC24 left hand caliper

Post by Terri400 »

Hi guys

In the process of rebuilding the front end on my other half's 24. Unfortunately the bleed nipple sheared whilst disassembling the front left caliper, no prob I'll get an extractor on that later, yeah right, the fecking thing will not come out and now I'm afraid it fecked completely. Still I've got a spare :) Nope, that's fecked without me even touching it

So anyone got a decent one they'd like to sell, I've replied on Nemesis's spares thread but though I'd add it on here to reach a more instant (hopefully) audience :poke:

Cheers

Cheers Steve

I'd seen that but the auction doesn't close till the end of this week, which means It'll not arrive for next weekend and I'll have to use the cage for work all next week too  , just hoping someone kind will have one. There's another on ebay for buy it now @£25 + p&p which I'll get on Wednesday if I've had no other offers.

Thanks again though.

is it not shared with the other sliding calipers?

CBR 400 brakes are 45100 - MV4 - 006 and 761

NT650 brakes - (only other fiche I have with the sliding caliper...)

45100 - MN8 - 671/672 and 851 (assume these are detail or colour revisions..)

I would say the casting is the same? Prob the same as NC23, NC29, RC24 and many of the 2 piston sliding caliper...

What is the nC24 brake on the fiche? Neosophist?

It could well be, but I don't know which, although I can say it isn't shared with the RC24, the casting on that is physically larger. I've got one of them too and would've robbed a caliper off of that, mind you mine's a bit of a 'bitsa'. If anyone knows for certain where it's shared I'd be greatfull a it'll allow me to extend my search. Time is of the essence though as I really do need a bike back before the start of next week.

Cheers CMS...

45200-ml0-722 (r/hand)
45100-ml0-722 (l/hand)

ML0 is the NC24, so if somethign else uses it, it'll have the NC24 brakes.

Interestingly I ordered some rear hub bearings for my NC24, (Part ML0) NC30,35 and VFR750's use the same bearings.. :D
