Re: gold cdi ?
Hi,
Yes the gold cdi will take away the restriction. Prices vary i got mine for £20 but ive seen them go for far higher on ebay. Best bet is to keep an eye out for a 1988 nc23 J getting broken on ebay and email the seller asking for the gold cdi. Or you could ask Graeme France for one he's bound to have them for sale. You can get his number by searching the site for his posts.

Re: gold cdi ?
Graeme probably be the best bet.
if you cant afford the Gold CDI, there is another way to by-pass the 112mph restriction via the resistor mod.

> then its de-restricted already as no way you can ever hit 180mph (as to 180kph where the limiter sits)
i think the other thing the gold cdi does is improve the fuel mapping and let it rev higher in to the red.

Re: gold cdi ?
Well just got one and installed it yesterday.. £35 from ebay bike seems to start better and power delivery appears to be smoother.. only went for a short ride so cant confirm that the rev limiter or speed limiter have been removed..
gold cdi on ebay at the moment by the way..
