NC24 rear sprocket replacement - Advice please? Smart ppl!

i was gunna say it looked a little odd when i saw it, get a renthal rear sprocket, maybe plus 2 or 3 teeth to give it a bit more poke

I'd say that sprocket isn't for the bike you bought it for!?
Have a word with Wemoto to make sure they sent the correct one!
Hacking off at it, is a bit extreme and will probably ruin it anyway!

Welll, I spoke to my local bike shop and he had a look through the honda parts line, and apparently they dont make the oem parts anymore, so renthal is the company to go to,but having a look on their website, their sprockets are much the same as mine =/ so, I've just booked it into the garage and I'm gonna let them do the work....

I'm not usually a quitter, honest =/

im guessing by now the bike shop managed to get your rear sprocket changed ok???

i know im kinda late with my reply. In case any one else is following this thread the rear sprocket on an nc24 can be swapped without taking the wheel off and without the need for a stand. the cush drive on the left hand side of the swinging arm as you are sat on the bike can be removed whilst keeping the wheel in place. The drive hub which holds the wheel and brake disc is held in place with a circlip which sits behind the cush drive unit. Aslong as the chain adjuster bolts are tight at the time then you should be able to just crack the rear nut off and the cush drive will slide off its splined drive.

Cheers for replying, that should be really helpful in the future actually, i hadn't even thought of looking behind the cushdrive =O I just kind of assumed I'd have to take the whole lot off, cheers for that though mrfletch!

I'll write that down at the back of my Haynes manual :D
