bought some chinese fairings for me vfr
these, got him to knock some money off the buy it now & also throw in a free screen & mirrors.(as you do.....)
I know too well about differing quality paint & fit but looking at the photos as best I can the paint seems ok. Obviously the number board will be resprayed & new decal put on but at the price I think its worth a punt, when they arrive I,ll fit them & report back & take some close ups so you can compare different ebayers quality etc etc,
Managed to repair my originals today & they come out ok but still left a couple of lines where I touched the paint in, couldnt do a better job really unless it was resprayed properly so I thought bugger it, I,ll have a spare set.

fingers crossed they turn up, anything else is a bonus lol!

Re: bought some chinese fairings for me vfr
Just had them delivered half hour ago, tell you what the paint is as good or better than oe, I kid you not. I,m not going to fit them for another week or two as I,m busy servicing & fettling the bike & I,m putting the old fairings back on to photograph but when I do I,ll post some close up photos. I was taken aback with the quality of them, everything laqured in, the tailboard which I was going to change I,m now going to leave, it looks ok as the blue writing says motorcycle centre & doesnt look out of place. The plastics weigh about the same as oe, I can check later on that but the finish really is superb. there is one small flaw at a mounting point, the plastic hasnt been recessed the same as tother side but that should still be ok when fitted. The screen I asked for wasnt new but its a secondhand OE one lol, thats great tho as I needed another, mark (cmjmmsj), sent me one too so I have one for each fairing set.
Well, big thumbs up from me (up till now we,ll see how it fits but cant see there being much hassle considering the quality already shown......)

I bought some for a cbr954 once, you can't complain for the price.
The paint was top quality, but a lot of the graphics didn't line up properly and looked shonky.

Give it 3 month of riding with the paint.
Mine has worn off in a few places like at the bottom of the "V" pice.
But like you sat for the money ok.

all these graphics are fine & line up, like I said I,ll show pics in a few weeks when theyre fitted.
The v pieces always come in for a hammering Matty but I may give it a few extra coats of laquer just to be sure, good call.

My tip for the V-piece is to fit some of the clear film or a colour matched vinyl. That'll help stop it flaking.
