End can fitting

I am thinking about getting an Aftermarket end can, something like the Beowulf, which I believe comes with a link pipe.

I read you have to chop the standard exhaust to fit them though. The standard exhuast on mine is in perfect condition. I dont want to cut that one. Do I need to buy an entire second hand exhaust to chop down the pipe work to fit the new end can on? Or can I buy a section of the exhaust to chop

Bit confused what I need and where to chop?

If you dont wanna chop your system then why not go for a 3 bolt replacement can. I presume this is for a nc30 or 35 for which good standard systems are getting harder and harder to find

i would say put a post in the wanted section and maybe PM the main parts people on the site (France and ali trading, rick oliver or geoff33)

with the VFR the front pipes are one piece and the rear pipes and the exhaust are one big part, so all you would need is a cut rear section.
Grahame France does link pipes i believe to connect a slip-on to a cut VFR system, although i have herd some talk of a 3 bolt adaptor available too.
PM those people for sure, ebay may even have stuff

Right so basically find the rear sections and chop these or speak to the above named guys and buy a link pipe. I assume this is different to the link pipe supplied with the Beowulf can?

Kind of right Wizard -

You need a "cut system" from an NC30, or a standard NC35 system.

The cut NC30 system - you need to make sure the collars where it connects to the front downpipes is sounds or has been replaced. Also you will then need a link pipe/can adaptor as the cut system is larger diameter then most std end cans.

If you get NC35 system (more expensive) then you can just buy a 3 bolt can and not need for a link pipe.

I would recommend getting hold of Geoff33 on here as I know he will have some cut systems with replaced collars for decent money.

3 bolt flange come off for use with slip on cans, this one was £80 ish delivered but included the 3 bolt flange

Yeah when I did a search I saw the pipe looks spot on although the can I was looking at said it had a link pipe. However something like what has been posted would give more flexibility I guess with can choice.

I figured that unless you have a mint condition standard pipe it wont make that much ,mines not so i,m gonna chop it Graeme France can sort you out the bits you need ,just waiting for mine to turn up
