gk76a... selling/breaking/project

Post by geeman88 »

i bought this in march as a first proper bike for myself, only having small funds due to being a student. after getting it home it developed a starting issue... i found bumping it worked fine and wasnt too much of an issue until i became fed up and wanted the problem sorted...

upon taking it too my local garage it was found that a couple of the valves has zero clearance and 2 of my valves had snapped in the collets meaning they just stayed shut.

the bike then sat in my garage for 6months before i had the funds to afford a head change with all the nessasary bits.

so in november my bike was taken away to be rebuilt just to find that in this time some parts have deteriated such as carbs sticking, rear wheel bearings, fork seals, rear suspension...

to me i keep putting money in and not really being able to ride it. to someone else who has the time to finish the bike it could be alot more but i just dont have that time...

i would prefer to sell the bike whole as i dont have the space to truly break it with my dad gettin another bike.

the bike is sorn and i think the mot has just run out.

during the month i had it on the road i did about 250 miles i put new chain and sproket on i have two spare sets of handles a new screen ( i fitted it then took it off again due to the work i just thought i would break it so never went anywere with it on) screen bolts.
the engine was then rebuilt which i have the receipt for including what was done on it...

so to list what needs doing

new rear suspension
new rear wheel/bearings excessive play, alot
carbs i believe are sticking as they were working when it came off the road but when it was put back together two of the carbs just dumped fuel
fork seals

otherwise i have all the bits for the bike to be sorted

was hoping for £600 due to not much work being needed but give me an offer.

matt
