Just a couple of additonal piccies today.. Had a session removing the old frame and have not fitted the new frame to the motor.

Not that exciting..but it is the start of the full on process whereby the bike will start to take shape.

I expect to find some plugs and some exhaust gaskets from Mr France when I get home so I will be test fitting the hiperform exhaust and sticking the swingarm onto the chassis as well.

TC with my new chassis and the motor - ready to be torqued up and sorted

The finished article.. (engine in chassis)

Possibly some more coming tomorrow if I get the bits mentioned above sorted out.

LOL - yes he does... He also makes a mean brew!

Anyways, had an hour to kill yesterday so fitted he rear headers and the swingarm to the frame. Have realised this was a mistake as even my herculean strength is not quite up to walking around a cluttered garage carrying 50+kg of motorbike..lol

I got halfway round the corner with it and realised I did not have anywhere to put it down without pinging my kneecaps off if I squatted with it...so I went and put it back..

Shiny pipes - ballache to get lined up and onto the posts but now looking good..very impressed with them :D

Image

Swinger on as well...but going to be removed so I can carry it a little easier..

Image

Hoping to complete the pipes and the swinger, shock and forks by the weekend - I would love to have a rolling chassis by next week so i can then fit the subframe, looms and carbs and fire the bad bastard up!

We shall see...

Righty ho.. Had a bit of a lull in proceedings as I have totally changed the focus for next year. I have arranged a test on the BMC RVF at Mallory with a view to riding with Mike adn the BMC crew for the EMRA season. (Whoop whoop - too cool)

8-)

So, this bike was kind of left on the back burner while I sorted out all that. However, the prospect of learning Mallory on no9 on an ACU test day was a little bit worrying as I don't want to drop the main moto.

The race bike build began again in earnest this afternoon.

Stuck the swinger, shock and gubbins onto the bike with it still sat on the bench. Then got Hulk style and picked up off the side, walked it to the floor and placed it down gently on my rug. *pardon my French - but fuck me it was heavy*

Image

Looking good I think. Worth the knackered back too...

Got my spare wheels out and the forks too - whacked the forks on
Image

Gave it some hardcore again and put it in the peg stand and got the jack under it too.

Wheels and sprocket on ;) Looking like a bike all of a sudden

I went and had a brew and a crack with the wife to rest my back and eat some ibuprofen as I am sure I should not be walking about with half a motorbike..lol

Been waiting to fit the HIPERFORM exhaust big time....

Spanky front pipes - bit of a ballache as my new studs were a touch short so it took some fiddling.. (nice rusty starter motor that wil be junked as soon as I am happy the motor works)

Tasty under linkages section -

Old ART can with my kickass Macabre logo on it - going to be tasty sounding system this I can tell thee!

Tomorrow I am going to go mental fitting the subframe, the loom and carbs, rads and whatever else I can find lying about that should be attached to it!

Got to service my carbs so will take a few pics of that - have some NC24 carbs to strip and check the slides are worth using so if any of the people in the know - Royster/Cammo ahem - then hit me!

rock on people, time for a beer I think.
