Re: NC30 Racing
The 092's are not the best 18" tyre for track days. They are a hard compound and not as grippy as there more sticky brothers the 090. You can also use the Dunlop Alpha 10 as well, I have heard very good things about these tyres. I have only ever used the 090's and with the amount of track days I have done, I can say for sure that the Bridgestone 090's are a great track tyre.

britaxcooper, yep, knew about the coolant thing, not got around to changing it, but gonna take some time off early next month after moving and put in some serious work to get it sorted (should have all the bits then), including lockwiring and changing the coolant to just water :)
Only got a few things left to buy now, exhaust and fairing are the main ones, then some things like brake pads, chain and sprockets.
Also picked the van up yesterday, bit tatty but room inside for a bike and that's all that counts, just gotta work out how i'm gonna secure the bike down when driving :p

Re: NC30 Racing
What ive done (footrests dont pivot) is ive got a paddock stand, not this modern lark but one that you simply lift the bike onto, like a upside down T with tubes cut in half at the top to go around the footrest, then Ive got holes in the stand to bolt to the caravan floor and then clamp the bike to the stand via the footpegs.NoSkill wrote: Also picked the van up yesterday, bit tatty but room inside for a bike and that's all that counts, just gotta work out how i'm gonna secure the bike down when driving :p

Re: NC30 Racing
Think mallory testing has already started, and im not taking the 092's out on track, no way there not that good on road just great for winter cos there so hard wearing and wont square off easily.
Im gona keep my side stand on and just remove it at the start of a race meeting and back on at the end but im still gona be riding mine on the road in between races

If you do ng will be about £120 for first class at Brands and £60 for 2nd class, that was last years prices, think the novice race is free, but you only get one race a weekend and no practice.Going back to ride height, looked at robs bike and it has been raised up about 10mm.Oh yea the prices are per day

Last time I ran there was on 15/43 and it was pretty good.jimmer wrote:Hello,

I now run 14/41 which I reckon would also cut it.
Would have stuck my head in this thread before now but I am much too busy!
I am racing my NC this year too..woohoo.. Will be updating my thread soon as I am about to go into the cold cold garage to get hardcore and swap frames!
