VTR 1000 Fire storm calipers

I know i can use SP1/2 calipers, but are the Gold Nissin VTR 1000 Fire storm calipers the same as the SP1/2 calipers?

pretty sure they are. if memory serves the sp1/sp1 both have spacer mounting off the forks to utalise the standard gold nissin's also used on the fireblade of the same era.

I do not think they are. I think i can remember the firestorm having the same brake piston size as the rvf400. SP1's have bigger pistons so are stronger. Someone will confirm this though.

from a bit of google image searching they look different, they look just like the rvf calipers and not the sp1's the one main difference i can see is that the sp ones have a ridge were the nissin writing is unlike the rvf and firestorm ones
