HRC endurance paddock stand

Post by iron chef »

Hi all,

Couple of years back a gent bought one of these and measured it up for people to re-produce. He has his own website with Vfour related things on.

Does anyone know his user name? Was it you?

Cheers,
Matt

I think his username was JZH, haven't seen him about on the new forum but I'm sure he's lurking not too far away.

Hi,

That is the correct site, but the info doesn't seem to be there any more.

I have a set of the pictures though if you are stuck.

Regards,

Dave.

JZH! thats the name, cheers.

Well i made the said stand last year at college but never got back to him cos i got my account blocked and lost his email!
So cheers JZH for the helpfull pics!
Thought i would post a few pics :D

Bit of a story behind it also...
After i had drawn up all the CAD designs and bought materials, somone 'didnt see me' and shortened my lovely RVF from this...

To this..

Which meant i had no bike to put it on. As it happens, the old man has a single swinger so that was now the bike that the stand was designed for (well adapted for). The extra weight is an issue for this design but it still works.
But the RVF is nearly back on the tarmac so the stand can now be adapated for it again.

Anyway, the stand.

really enjoyed the project and if anyone has any comments or improvments (apart from the rotating axel [problems there]), please share

Cheers

That is pretty nice mate, I'm trying to come up with a nice solution for the rotating axle myself...

I see the step for raising the bike, how do you lower it again? Is it just by hooking your foot under the step?

yeh the folder work is killing me write now, but not as much as my mate, he's making a tresil framed louge board and had to design a working model in Solid Works, id any of you have used solid works you will know how much of a bitch it is to learn it and to make anything decent in it) i got away with a 2d orthographic drawing with lots of dimension to make it look complex lol

Hey, that's so cool! No, I haven't been around here for years, maybe. But, stuck in the office at 1:45 am, waiting for WP to finish a document I still have to edit, and here I am...

I do remember you asking for the dimensions, so I made a Web page for my "alleged" HRC rear stand. Sorry about the NC35--the prettiest version, just like mine. Your stand came out beautifully. Well done!
