Nitron shock ride height

Post by emto »

This is probably a stupid question which I already unfortunately know the answer to but,
I have just installed a Nitron shock on my NC30 and found that the Ethos 1/2 systems clearance is a problem. The link pipe is rubbing the chain & under compression, the shock linkage is hitting the pipe. Can I wind off some ride height on the shock while in place or do I have to take the weight off & drop the linkages to do it?
Any help appreciated.

Hiya,
I think you can wind the ride height off in situe, tho it takes a while as you cant move the spanners much but be patient and it goes ok. It maybe easier with the weight of the bike off the shock.
Hope it helps.

take the weight off the bike with a abba stand or bricks.... Undo the shock from the triangle link area at the bottom and if you can get your spanners in there just undo the ride hide nuts and spin it round. You must take the weight off the bike otherwise you will end up with a nc30 lying flat on the floor.
