I think it's a standard brembo unit used on a lot of bikes, have a look at the Ducati range about 748 / 916 time ... maybe 999 style.
But then again if it's for a road bike you know a 3TJ caliper will fit so look for one of those first.

If your skint then it might be best to buy the proper one ... then you'll just buy once.
I thought the rear caliper from a fzr600 would fit the 400 3en2 ... but the body just touched the disk cos it was a smaller dia. It was ok after it was filled down though.

Sound advice me thinks.

Typical really. I spend all my pennies on a shiney new front end, and within a week or so my rear caliper seals fail :x

Ah well. I'll just have to keep repeating the motorcycle modifiers mantra "its not about the money, its not aout the money"

Why don't you replace the seals ???
It's not a big job and only two seals shouldn't cost much

Wemoto do 3TJ rear calliper seals for £8

They also do a stainless steel piston and seal kit for £38. I fitted one of these kits to my 3TJ last year and i have had no problems so far.

you mean people actually use their rear bake :?

i have to keep striping the rear brake on the er5 cos it seizes up, i had to buy a new rear caliper for the vfr cos that seized solid, bin like that for a about 6 months :o , and i think ive only touched the rear brake twice on the fzr, just to see if it worked. lol

i know i should really use it but for some reason i just never get round to using it.

I replaced the seals when i fitted new pads about 6months ago, noticed that the pistons were quite badly pitted when i did that but hoped they'd be ok  Its started weeping brake fluid though so i guess i was wrong!

It'd have to be a piston kit, but my caliper is in a such a sorry state looks-wise i'd rather replace it with something thats in better shape :)
