nightmare mate, how long are you away or do you not know yet ?Smev wrote:I haven't had a chance to do any more to the bike - atleast its sitting on its wheels - the frame is only partially done and thats the way its going to stay for the next couple of months![]()
I've sold an old exhaust system and my minimoto so will be using that money to get odds and sods - proper chain adjuster, plugs, usual bits and bobs really!
I'm off to Afghanistan for a while so won't be able to do any more work until I return.
As far as I know 'Santa' isn't bringing it any pressies - although I do hear that there might be a nice tool box and tools heading its way!!
tool box and tools = happy times in the garage.
it's a shame your not going to have the time to have this finished before you go,coming back to a bike in one piece and running is far better than knowing you're coming back to finish off something you started ages ago. but nevertheless it'll be kick ass when it's done.
It's not having what you want but wanting what you've got....Loud ,Proud and Modified ....

Re: The NC30 thread!
Well after looking at the ABR bike - I may consider Ram-Air :D
Who else on the site was doing it? Viper Biker?
I'm on my sixth, 2 month tour of Afghanistan - its pretty crap but its the job I've signed up to :) I will have spent a year over there by the time I return!
I don't mind having the bike not finished before I'm back - It gives me something to keep thinking about when I'm off shift. Plus I get to save a whole load of $$$ while I'm there too! On the down side I'll miss my wife and Puppy
Oh and Spike - No chance on a ride!!! The last time I lent someone my bike they wrote it off for me!! which led me to building he VFR/Ducati while they sorted out payment and a new VFR400NC30 for me :D
Merry Christmas and see you all in the New Year on rideouts or track days

Re: The NC30 thread!
so hang on...what you saying is the last time you let someone ride you bike it ended up in it looking like one of the nicest nc30's iv ever seen?....and you dont want to do it again
yeh viper had ram air on his track bike before it took a chunk out of his knee, talk to him about it, or rhory, think he helped set it up,
or was that just lost in translation mate?
(that was to rhory btw)

Re: The NC30 thread!
i wouldn't say i helpped set it up,i gathered half the parts and did a bit of the work but gareth did the most of it,picked up revs like i have never seen on a V4 (apart from my HRC bike) but i never got to ride it,the first outting for that bike ended up being it's last ....

Re: The NC30 thread!
Still thinking on the ram air thing - Royster could you let me know what kinda stuff is needed or is there a thread about it?
As for the bike - no more progress
I haven't worked on since I'm out in the 'stan so no clocks/dash sorted and the frame still needs polishing up more - I've made a start but thats all.
Also thinking on new headlights - somehow and maybe a mild tune to go with the ramair??????!!!!!!!
