NC35 HRC emulsion tubes
Hi
There was a post on here with pics and descriptions of NC35 emulsion tubes comparing HRC to standard items.
I cant find the thread that it was in.
Would anyone have dcenet pics of NC35 HRC and standard emulsion tubes side by side?
Are the holes in both sets the same size?
I thought it was said that the standard emulsion tubes have 3 holes and the HRC ones have 2 holes, are the remaining holes in the same spot?
The guts of it is can I solder up some of the holes in my standard emulsion tubes for the same effect?
thanks
jon

If it`s just HRC emulsion tubes you`re wanting, I have 1 set left over from my last batch of kits - I`ll do you a good deal on them if I`m sending you a parcel of stuff over anyway...

Very interested thanks, add them to the rest of the stuff.
Aim is to end up with NC35 Carbies running reliably with ramair just trying to get bits together to have on hand then take the bike to a trackday with an O2 datalogger and have a play.

I think I can source A & C Needles (so the bike will most likely need the B Needles).
Jets are a breeze.
Hopefully you have inlet stacks (the staggered length setup will probably be down on peak power but give a better spread)
The hard to get bits are;
Emulsion tubes (hopefuly we have this sorted)
Springs, or their specs is will be what i try and track down next, i have wound compression springs on a lathe before at work.
I am not in agreeance with the popular theory that drilling vacuum transfer hole in slide is the same as putting in a different weight spring.
IMHO;
Enlarging the hole will increase the rate that the slide reacts as it increase the speed that the two forces can balance (vacuum and spring)but when the opposing forces are in balance ( stable throttle setting) the slide will be at the same height as standard.
Changing the spring tension will not alter the speed that the slide reacts but when the opposing forces are in balance ( stable throttle setting)the slide will be at a different height for any given vacuum.
regards

Jon -
I`m in the process of getting a new batch of HRC kits together for NC35s - the emulsion tubes and needles won`t be ready until about mid February, but my spring maker is super quick on delivery so I have a large batch of HRC-spec springs to hand already.
I`ll have plenty left over when I`ve made the kits up so the springs will be on my list at £12 a set if you or anyone else want them...

If you are intersted I will pay you for a full NC35 HRC kit with the stuff in the other post that i am chasing at the moment, I will take what bits you have on hand with this lot and get the balance when you have it as I am sure I will be chasing other stuff by then.

would you HRC your rvf carbs mark?CMSMJ1 wrote:Yeah, me too - sometime early summer
i know steveie runs a road bike with the HRC rvf carbs tray and air box lid and i have been reliably told you can run some form of filter with little modification

Re: NC35 HRC emulsion tubes
i'd be interested to see what the differences are, i run 4x short stack emulsion tubes (original Honda) and to be honest the fuelling is spot on, (the bike has been re-jetted) I don't bother with ram air and the carbon tray etc as from what i was told by a guy at dynojet, ram air only works from about 130mph so don't see anywhere where this would be of use with the exception of the Isle of Man.

Re: NC35 HRC emulsion tubes
to be honest so would i si but i don't know too many with HRC carbs (NC30 or 35) but with a engine spec like yours i'd love to see what difference they would make,3 different needles,short velocity stacks,slide springs and emulsion tubes,it's all going to work togetting to make some differanceSimon_Ed wrote:i'd be interested to see what differences are, i run 4x short stack emulsion tubes (original Honda) and to be honest the fuelling is spot on, (the bike has been re-jetted) I don't bother with ram air and the carbon tray etc as from what i was told by a guy at dynojet, ram air only works from about 130mph so don't see anywhere where this would be of use with the exception of the Isle of Man.
