Mounting lugs on NC29 fork.

theres me thinking it was obvious that english isnt my strong point with my bad grammar, spelling and where ever else.
just because i live in the UK doesnt mean i can speak/understand English any better. i come across things/words/sayings on a regular basis which i have no idea what they are on about.
BTW Swahili is my 1st language, not english.

I thought Parus's first post was a bit ambiguous too. Normally he is spot on with explaining what he is asking for and it was almost as though he had left a word out.

At least LP replied and tried to work out what Parus was asking for. I thought he was going to end up asking if the nc23 forks had the same spacing for the calipers as the 29.

Incidentally, do they? And do nc29 forks fit in the 23?

Look like I have to explain.

Really, I need length between mounting for front breaks. I have found bracket that has 83mm length between mounting holes and these brackets fit to 40mm brembo calipers.

I saw that garyboy_palaboy use almost the same for his brembo. http://i220.photobucket.com/albums/dd30 ... C00590.jpg. Currently I have brembo calipers, but problem that nobody selling this sort of brackets. But I found this one - it looks the same as use by garyboy_palaboy on his NC29.

So, I just was need to check would this bracket fit with low mod or not. That why I asked about "Mounting lug" :)))

if you cant find brackets to buy off the shelf, it maybe an idea to get a pair fabricated for you.

Not that hard to make yourself if you have a good garage set up, but make sure you use high grade aluminium like T1016 (I think thats the right one, aircraft grade stuff).

I'm not trying to be an arse, but there are loads of aircraft grade aluminium alloys....7075, 7050 and 2024 off the top of my head. So be very careful which one you choose, some work well under compression (not what you want) and others are better under tension. Also dependant on direction of grain flow.......a bit like wood really, harder to split across the grain than with the grain. That is the full extent of my knowledge on metalurgy, maybe someone else can clarify any questions arising!!

Hope that doesnt muddy the waters too much.
