Does it have all the flaps and gubbins that sit over the engine, beneath the airbox? Is the airbox standard? not had the snout chopped off?
RVF carbs? I ran 130 mains in an open airbox and super skinny filter - but yours sounds like it is not getting a nice still draught of air, rather than bogging down and flooding

Yes, has them all to my knowledge, they didn't appear to be secured down, so i have tied them down and will update after a test. Yes it has a standard airbox with about 100mm long snout on the front. Has RVF carbs. Unknown brand airfilter with a genuine one on the way.
