RC45...

Post by manicguitarist » Wed Oct 02, 2019 9:51 pm

as the RC45 fund gets ever closer to fruition, time to start some proper research.

Is there an rc45 forum anywhere?

Regarding wheels, the original wheels have, shall we say, odd tyre sizes. What is a good replacement that supports modern tyres sizes? I’m guessing 180/55 zr 17 rear and 120/70 zr 17 front would be a good bet?

Any other things that folks might be aware of to look for?

A quick point:
Other than burn it the fastest way to de-value it would be to change it from standard... Unless you don't care about the devaluation...
Also why do you consider that you actually need to change it from stock - Making the assumption you haven't ridden one..

Don’t care about devaluation-will be riding it.
So long as I keep all the stock bits I’ll be able to restock to stock.

I’ll even be putting heated grips on it.

But back to the topic-why different wheels? Cos the stock wheels are a crazy size with naff all road riding rubber available.
