Hi,
As the subject says think this might be reg / rectifier fault ???
Out on bike - 2 hour ride, bike suddenly looses all power, nothing on starter button, only light that works is neutral light.
Can't fix so get recovery out, bike starts with jump pack & revs, seems fine but soon as jump leads disconnected engine dies. Battery still showing as fully charged.
Any ideas / suggestions.
Thanks.

Battery was checked with multimeter when it broke down at the side of the road & was showing fully charged.
Sorry bit vague details, does anyone think it might be reg / rectifier ?
Thanks

Neutral light only item that works, suspect loom earth wire is no longer connected to chassis. Loom chassis earth lug located just forward of front ignition coil.

Re: NC30 elec fault - reg / rectifier ??
The source of so many posts on the forum ..the good old regulator/rectifier.
Sounds like the battery was overcharging as a result of the voltage not being regulated. If the voltage is higher than the 14.4v (roughly) that it usually receives at 4-5000 rpm then it fries everything unless caught early.Saw my own cdi unit generate smoke some years ago Need to check the pick up block connector for burnt out pins /melting and the ones on the regulator/rectifier and cut back to good wire, solder new connectors ,remake the block connectors and source a battery and decent regulator/rectifier before trying to restart your nc. I'm sure you'll get more posts on doing this .
Good luck.
