Rear Shock Question?
Hi there, i've had my NC30 for 9 years now but have always been meaning to upgrade the rear shock. I saw on ebay today someone had fitted an SV650 shock and was wondering if anyone else had done this? If you have what was involved?
Cheers, Mark

Re: Rear Shock Question?
I've got the R6 shock on mine and it's good. The only problem is getting a good spring for it as the R6 spring is too soft. Apparently F4i is the one to go for.

Hi!
You can buy my modified-to-fit, brand new never used GSXR 750 -07 shock if you want a direct fit. (I'm having an Ohlins for the bike now). Adaptor spring seats to accept std RVF spring.

Re: Rear Shock Question?
do these gsxr shock fit a standard bike, does the piggy back res not get in the way, how much are the units?
iv been offered a good condition rs250 cup (adjustable ride height) shock for £100, is this a good deal?

Re: Rear Shock Question?
Well...on my race bike project, the piggyback reservoir has loads of space, but on a standard bike I just don't know. No clearance problems versus the exhaust system anyway. The shock otherwise fits straight on, except the upper mount needs to be slightly modified, easily done at home, no special tools required. The shock is also approx. 15mm longer than the std NC30 one, so would make a nice addition for anyone doing the 17" swap without having to mess around with the dogbones.

PM'd you Lasse
@ Spike - that RS shock is not worth it unless it has been rebuilt recently and with an extra shim in the reboound stack. get a look at it if you can - they are mostly 5+ years old now...but work lovely when fitted
