Hi Guys

Bought the bike in July 2015. Immediately had to replace the battery and clutch lever.

Had 36000 kms on the clock.

Bike is WEST RACING COLOURS here.

Bike was dropped and half a respray was carried out.

I then proceeded to fitting speed nuts with captive screws, as the bike was held together just with standard bolts and nuts.
Was interesting to loosen the nuts on the back of the connector fairing.

I also serviced the bike and fitted a new oil filter and new oil.

I did the usual stuff over time, fitted new tyres and brake pads etc.

Until I ran into problems with the bike not wanting to rev properly.
Removed the carbs and used carb cleaner.....

End Result. Jets was filthy and by now the Haynes book of lies for the bike was well and truly used.

I bought rear brake pads and the guy at the bike shop where I procured the items from was kind enough to strip the head of the pad retaining pin.

I ended up removing the caliper and drilling the pin from the opposite side and then using a easy out to remove the head. Had to source a used pin as my local Honda dealer would have taken 2 weeks to get it.

Fast Forward to December 2016 and some 7000kms later....

The bike had a oil leak when every time I parked it

Also the head lights started to work intermittently

Finally the battery just would not hold charge.

I started to investigate the oil leak, turns out the oil filter had worked itself loose just enough to leak between the engine and the filter.

I opened up the wiring loom for the charging system and was met with this un-holy sight...

After putting some new connectors in, wow battery is charging again.

The headlights remained a mystery as I was convinced the relay was the culprit...
I one day removed the tank and traced the wiring and plugs etc, I found the 2 plugs in the main loom under the carbs to be at fault, I cable tied it and the connection was not intermittent anymore.

In Dec 2016 I procured a set of original tail fairings, the bottom two belly fairings and a top fairing.

I also managed to get a set of original flickers from a boot sale day.

Then in January the bottom radiator developed a leak so I sourced a used one, cleaned it up and fitted it.
